This weekend: Divergent League Baseball Draft and RetroStrange Movie Night!
Hey there. Looks like I’m taking another accidental newsletter hiatus because my brain is broken. Expect Phil’s Newsletter to return on Monday! It’ll be a good one. In the meantime, I’ve got a couple of events to bring to your attention.
Divergent League Baseball, my weirdo fantasy baseball league, is having our 1999 team selection and player draft this Friday and Saturday! If you are a paid subscriber to this newsletter, or a Patron, you’re eligible to choose a team and watch ‘em play out the season. Find out more on the Divergent League 1999 Preseason post
Not only that, Saturday is RetroStrange Movie Night! We’ll be taking in the classic Teenagers From Outer Space (1959) and a selection of brand-new-to-you shorts that will be added to the RetroStrange TV rotation. You’ve got two chances to watch: Once at 7:00pm Eastern and one at 7:00pm Pacific. Check out the details on the RetroStrange blog
If you’re into either one of these things, hop on into our Discord server and say hi.
That’s all for now! I’m in the middle of editing a friggin game show about computer vision + AI sponsored by Intel, if you can believe it.
Sincerely a type of guy,
— Phil
